Generally a person has to visit the Health care center assigned to the area where he resides and for further specialised treatments reference will be made to Hammad, but it is way too time consuming and this sometimes forces a visit to private hospitals which are pretty expensive.
1.Health Card can be obtained from Health Card Office at Health Centers nearest to your area or at the Rumeillah Hospital. It is essential that one should possess a Valid Resident Permit before applying for a Health Card.
2.The documents required for this purpose are:
1.The completed application form (The Application form can be filled either in English or Arabic, typing not required),
2.Photocopies of passport and visa or ID Card,
3.Two photographs (4cm x 3cm) and A Fee of QAR. 100 per year.
3.Once the above document along with the appropriate fees is submitted, the Health Card will be issued in about 2 weeks.
4.The receipt of the payment shall be used until the Card is issued, alternatively you might also be given a number which can be used.
Alternatively, Health Card can also be applied online at www.e.gov.qa by following simple instructions. Payment can be done through a credit card.
The Validity of the card expires along with the visa.
